The Kobuk

The Kobuk is a one-stop shopping emporium for unique Alaskan gifts in downtown Anchorage. Besides the fantastic gifts, The Kobuk also features a cafe area with different lunch options and an Espresso Bar and Bakery where they serve fresh soup daily and fill the pantry case with delicious treats and sweets.

This cafe showcases the work of Alaskan native artists and crafts with collectibles from all over the world, such as German nutcrackers, gourmet confections, and Polish pottery. The Kobuk tickle its visitor’s taste buds with imported and old-fashioned candies from different parts of the world and appeals to their senses with Alaskan hand-made soaps, bath salts, and lotions. At The Kobuk, you can choose from hundred different gift items, teas, coffees, and treats.

Established by the Bonito siblings, The Kobuk preserves the historic Alaskan flavor while bringing fun and trendy product lines. The Kobuk is housed in one of the first commercial buildings in the City of Anchorage, The Kimball Building. The Bonito family purchased the Kobuk business in 1993 and began operating as a family-owned establishment, becoming a must-stop for four different Alaskan generations.
